In the over saturated industry of calligraphy and hand lettering, I sometime feel overwhelmed with my lack of originality. It's so easy to compare where you are in your creative process and say it's not as good as someone else or even fear that matches other's work. Cue #tuesdaytunes.
I've never had so much fun coming up with a concept and seeing it come to life. And you know what - it was so easy because I basically just combined several things I love: words, music, calligraphy, photography, and styling. It made me realize that sometimes we complicate the whole creative process by trying to think so out of the box when all the time it was right in front of us.
Anyways, I really enjoyed doing this month's lyric art. I decided to pick lyrics that were specifically about love since Valentine's Day was coming up. I don't know that each month will be as themed (even though you know I love a good theme), but it was really fun to put together a cohesive group of styled prints. I also don't know that each week's will be as fully styled as some of the ones that I have done so far. While it has been so much fun and I'm really in love with a couple of them, I'm already terrified I've run out of ideas. Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed this month's #tuesdaytunes and if you ever have any lyrics that you would love made into art, just contact me through my contact page or etsy site, I would love to make those words come alive for you.
